AI Tool Service
Your private AI server. Runs on your Mac. Nowhere else.
No AWS bucket somewhere in Virginia. No subscription that quietly renews annually. No EULA Section 7.3b explaining why your data now "belongs to service improvement." Just you, your Mac, and a language model that doesn’t snitch anywhere. That’s how it should be.
Image Analysis
Image in, result out. It's that simple. AI tools analyse photos via drag-and-drop, clipboard paste, or in bulk – and deliver a complete description, automatically generated tags, and all available metadata in seconds: camera model, resolution, and if available, the exact location. A mountain lake in Kaunerberg, Tyrol? Recognised. A paraglider over the Zillertal? Recognised. The sleeping cat on the couch? Also recognised – including the quiet assessment that it's not doing much right now. The JSON result can be copied with a click and reused directly – in scripts, shortcuts, or wherever metadata is needed.
Speech to Text & Text to Speech
Click the microphone, speak, done. Or upload an audio file – M4A, MP3, whatever. The on-device speech recognition transcribes in multiple languages and gives you the text directly for copying. No recording is stored anywhere. No audio file leaves your Mac. What you say stays with you.
Translation
14 languages. Completely offline. No spinner waiting for a request to be processed somewhere in the cloud. Apple’s own on-device translation engine powers the AI tools—the same one built into iOS—and delivers the results straight to your Mac. Fast, precise, and no server in the world knows what you’re translating. Not even this one.
Spell Check
No simple red underlining that stops working as soon as the sentence gets a bit complex. AI tools check your text contextually, show you exactly which words are wrong, suggest the correction right next to them – and at the end deliver the fully corrected text for copying. Five errors? All are listed. No word is sent to the internet in the process. Promise.
Built-in API Server
This is the feature for anyone who lights up inside at the word "curl".
AI Tools comes with a complete local REST API server – activatable with a single toggle in the settings. All app features can be accessed via HTTP request: analyse images, translate texts, check spelling, transcribe audio, synthesise speech. Everything. Directly from the terminal, from Shortcuts, from your own scripts, or from other apps.
The result comes back neatly as JSON. With timestamp, filename, location, description, and tags. Exactly as you need it.
If you want to make AI Tools accessible on the local network – for example from other devices – you can enable this in the settings. The network URL is displayed directly.
Privacy – and this is no marketing promise
All processing runs locally, using Apple's native frameworks. No internet connection required. If you want to be absolutely sure, activate network lock mode in the settings – then the Mac is literally cut off from the outside. Not even reverse geocoding for location data leaves the device.
No account. No tracking. No telemetry. No “We anonymise your data before storing it.” There is simply nothing to store because nothing goes outside.
